About Kumpulan Wang Persaraan

Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) ("KWAP") or the Retirement Fund (Incorporated) was established on 1st March 2007 under the Retirement Fund Act 2007(Act 662) replacing the repealed Pensions Trust Fund Act 1991 (Act 454).

The Pensions Trust Fund Act 1991 (Act 454) was enacted to assist the Federal Government in funding its pension liability. With the enactment of this Act, the Pensions Trust Fund was established on 1 June 1991 with a launching grant of RM500 million from the Federal Government. The Pensions Trust Fund was administered by the Pensions Trust Fund Council with the Accountant General of Malaysia being responsible for the day to day administration and management of the affairs of the Pensions Trust Fund.

With the incorporation of KWAP, all powers, functions, activities, assets and liabilities of the Pensions Trust Fund were taken over in totality by KWAP.

Indah Water Konsortium, a wholly-owned company of the Minister of Finance Incorporated, is Malaysia's national sewerage company which has been entrusted with the task of developing and maintaining a modern and efficient sewerage system for all Malaysians.

In 1994, the Federal Government awarded the company the concession for nationwide sewerage services which prior to that, was under the responsibility of local authorities.

Before 1963, Shah Alam was known as Sungai Renggam and was a palm oil plantation which was situated between Petaling Jaya and Bandar Diraja Klang while being connected through the only highway at that time, the Federal Highway.

Malaysia grew rapidly after its independence in 1957 under the ‘Father of Modernization’, the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, Allahyarham Tun Abdul Razak Hussein. Shah Alam was opened in 1963 with the purpose of making it the administrative center of Selangor once Kuala Lumpur was made a Federal District on February 1st, 1974. With the consent of 8th DYMM Sultan of Selangor, Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj on December 7th, 1978, Shah Alam was proclaimed the capital of Selangor with an area of 41.68 square km. Shah Alam had encountered several processes of extending its areas and the last was on January 1st 1997. Through the Gazette Plan 1190, Shah Alam was extended to 293 square km.

The rapid growth of Shah Alam and its evident importance had upgraded its status to be declared a city on October 10th 2000. This declaration was officiated by YAB Dato’Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo, 13th Chief Minister of Selangor. Shah Alam, which had been administered by the Shah Alam Municipal Council Authoritative Party since 1978, was automatically given the status of Shah Alam City Council. With a population density of 450,000, Shah Alam targets an additional growth of population to 700,000 by 2010 as a result from a nationwide migration of populace aside from the increasing number of births.

Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) was established in 1971 under the Ministry of Human Resources to implement and administer the Social Security schemes under the Social Security Act, 1969, the Employment Injury Insurance Scheme and Invalidity Pension Scheme. Under this scheme, employees are given protection related to employment injury, including accidents in the course of employment, occupational diseases, invalidity and death.

Among the functions performed by SOCSO is registered employers and employees, collecting contributions of employers and employees, process claims and pay benefits to workers and dependents suffer. In addition, SOCSO also provides physical and vocational rehabilitation benefits, and promoting awareness of occupational safety and health. In July 1985, SOCSO status as a Government Department has been transformed into a statutory body. While on January 1, 1992, SOCSO have adopted their own remuneration, the New Remuneration System SOCSO (SSBP).

Add new instructor(s) to the Master Scheduler Database (MSDB).
Once the new instructor(s) is in the MSDB, refer the new instructor(s) to the GLDS Wiki for instructions on access and using the MSDB.
Work with Delivery Focal Point (DFP) as requested (to secure instructor resources and venues) based on GLRT requests. Current state — Future MS will assigned independent of DFP?
Determine facilitator demand vs. capacity and send report to DBM for approval of financial outlook. The DBM should be given a view of vendor Volumes based on the gap between Demand and Instructor Availability to provide a high level view of potential cost. If approved, the MS would proceed to scheduling. Once the final, optimized, schedule is determined the DBM should calculate the pending vendor cost for future forecast / business management processes.

Attend backlog calls with DFPs to determine need for cancellations (due to low enrollments, etc).

The Ministry of Youth and Sports was incorporated in 1953 with the formation of the Culture Division under the Department of Public’s Welfare. The Culture Division was given the responsibility to handle all matters pertaining to Malaysia’s youth.

Later in 1964, the Culture Division was transferred under the Ministry of Information. At the same time, a Youth Division was formed under the same Ministry to handle and encourage the growth of associations involving youth activities. The Ministry of Youth and Sports was only formed on 15 May 1964 in conjunction with the National Youth Day of that year. In 1972, the Culture Division was established and Ministry Youth and Sports was changed to Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports until 1987, when the Culture Division was transferred under Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism. With the transfer of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports reverted to its original name of Ministry Youth and Sports until today.
