1. Senior Executive Shariah (Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:
To undertake effective measures in ensuring Islamic financial products offered by Islamic Financial Institutions (IFIs) are compatible with the Shariah and to develop a comprehensive Shariah framework for IFIs in Malaysia.

Principle Accountabilities:
1. Undertake research groundwork on the specific area of Islamic contract by identifying, acquiring and compiling the required materials for Shariah deliberations from Islamic legal sources namely the fiqh manuals, fatwa collection and others.
2. Undertake the administrative works as the Secretariat for Shariah Advisory Council (SAC) of BNM.
3. Compile all decisions of the SAC and to make thorough evaluations of their content before the decisions are being published.
4. Assist the SAC on Shariah issues referred by the court, arbitrator and mediator.
5. Assist other sections within the department or from other departments of the Bank if Shariah opinion is being sought.
6. Coordinate queries received from Islamic financial institutions under BNM and other external parties on Shariah issues in Islamic finance.
7. Compile relevant fatwas pertaining to Islamic finance from various sources to serve as reference for research and SAC deliberation.
8. Undertake projects and ad-hoc assignments, as and when required.

Requirements:
1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree in in either Shariah or Fiqh Muamalat. Knowledge in Law, Finance, Economic or Accounting is an added advantage.
2. Basic knowledge of Islamic banking is an advantage. Demonstrate strong interest in research and development work.
3. Malaysia citizen aged 35 years old and below.

2. Manager Shariah (Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive Shariah compliance framework, provide Shariah advisory services to relevant stakeholders, conduct applied Shariah research and undertake effective measures in ensuring all Islamic financial products and operations are compatible with Shariah

Principle Accountabilities:

1. Manage and conduct research in the emerging Shariah issues pertaining to the assigned area of applied Shariah contracts in Islamic finance.
2. Draft and produce impactful Shariah resolutions endorsed by the Shariah Advisory Council.
3. Drive and develop Shariah compliance framework for Islamic finance operations.
4. Lead and supervise Shariah advisory services relating to product proposals and operations to ensure Shariah compliance in Islamic finance industry.
5. Provide sound Shariah inputs for policy formulation, research and training modules in Islamic finance.
6. Supervise and undertake projects and ad-hoc assignments, as and when required, such as drafting speeches, answering parlimentary questions and responding to public queries on Shariah matters in Islamic banking and takaful.

Requirements:
1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or master degree in either Shariah or Fiqh Muamalat.
2. Knowledge in Law, Finance, Economics or Accounting is an added advantage
3. Preferably at least 5 years experience in Islamic Finance
4. Malaysian citizen aged 40 years old and below.
