Visitor Services Assistant, BNM Museum and Art Gallery
Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for assisting visitors by answering visitor’s enquiries, conducting tours, and supporting the Visitor Services Supervisor in daily routine.
  • To deal with visitors’ orders, complaint resolution, call centres, and visitor care. Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Communicating with visitors face to face or via email, telephone or fax and responding to and resolving visitors issues.
  • Responds to and resolving customer issues.
  • Tracking and documenting all contact with visitors and escalating issues to the relevant specialist.
  • To assist the Visitor Services Supervisor to ensure that every visitor receives an exemplary visitor experience.
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a museum team and use first class interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships across sections.
  • Responsible to welcome visitors by friendly and knowledgeable Visitor Services Assistant and provided with the right kind of assistance.
  • Collaborate with Public Programming and other sections on planning, organizing and implementing outreach/inreach programs.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Mass Communications, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): Communication Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Resource Management Skill.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably minimum 3 years related to role either in front-of house and customer services at visitors attractions or hotels or retail operations.
  • Have experiences in administering and front of house services. Ability to resolve problems effectively, accurately record information, prioritise workload, exceed expectations, recognise areas for improvement, and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to speak other language such as Mandarin is preferred and other foreign language is highly advantageous.
  • 1 Full-Time position available.
