Contracts Manager
Selangor - HQ
Responsibilities:
- The Contract Manager shall be the domain expert on EPC contracts for industrial/ oil & gas or power projects.
- Responsible for contract review, negotiation and post-contracts management.
- Assist in new business pursuit and associated contract strategy.
- Focal point for all communication with law, finance and business team disciplines for resolution of contract issues and disputes.
- To build and strengthen existing contracting approaches and structural arrangements for contracting.
- Analyzes significant and unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure.
- Reviews complex solicitations and prepares specialized and/or non-routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
- To ensure that all procurement and contracting activities are carried out in accordance with legislation, company policies and procedures and principles of good practice.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying/Engineering. Advanced degree is highly desirable.
- 8 or more years experience in contract administration for EPC of local or international industrial / power projects.
- Ability to draft moderate to complex, non-routine contractual instruments.
- Good knowledge of contract law, FIDIC Silver, Red and Yellow book contracts.
- Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to details is a must.
- Ability to use independent judgment and creativity to resolution of contract issues.
- Emerging ability to excel in upper level management environment.
