Senior Project Manager (Sarawak - MIRI)
Responsibilities:
- This role is responsible for management and co-ordination of major multidiscipline upstream oil & gas engineering projects associated with both Greenfield and Brownfield sites.
- Project cost and schedule monitoring, control and analysis
- Change Management (schedule and cost)
- Responsibility for project commercial outcomes (Revenue, EBIT and cash-flow timing)
- Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Management
- Identification of further work opportunities for Worley or affiliates
- Team building and Leadership
- Performance reporting Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Development and implementation of initiatives to improve cost effectiveness.
- Effective management and control of risks through design and installation.
- Understanding and implementing the requirements of the OHS Regulations Act.
- Maintaining design integrity and quality within the project team.
Quality Assurance –
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
- Mentoring, coaching and training of subordinates.
- Demonstrable commitment to HSE management in a project environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A proven track record in managing major projects with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager for significant projects
- Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, ISO9001 quality management systems
- A high level of customer focus
- Sound understanding of applicable local & international engineering standards and codes of practice
Requirements:
- Applicants must have a recognised engineering degree with a minimum of 15-20 years experience in heavy industrial process engineering or a related industry. This shall include 7-10 years in the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry, 5 years of which has been in a project management role of significant projects.
- Applicants must have demonstrable experience in project management activities in a multi-discipline environment, from concept screening, front end engineering, detailed design, procurement and execution management. The applicant will be responsible for the management of teams of Project Engineers, Discipline Engineers, Designers and other specialists involved in the development of either a major single project or a multitude of smaller projects.
