1. Senior Buyer (Based in Penang)
The Job:
- Responsible for implementing plans and policies which are aligned with the corporate mission and targets/budget
- Make continuous improvements to the vendor base on the quality & reliability of delivery
- Propose suitable suppliers and participate in the choice of the supplier/partner in accordance with the Company’s criteria for quality, cost and ethical considerations
- Manage the relationship with the supplier/partner and ensure that the Company’s requirements & lead times are well understood and approved by the suppliers
- Track the prices of raw materials to understand cost drivers to enable better negotiation
- Maintain up-to-date price comparisons from alternative suppliers and also competitors suppliers
- Work closely with marketing and suppliers on innovative & new items
- Ensure suppliers’ smooth business running in delivery and quality
- Extensive travelling in the region is required
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and Mandarin and must be tertiary educated
- Minimum 5 years’working experience in purchasing in an MNC
- Experience in examining thin gloves or polymer related product will be an added advantage
- Excellent leadership and communication skills and able to work closely with Purchasing teams located around the world and to deal with a large supplier base
- An analytical mind and practice with high integrity, a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to solve problems as well as make practical and sensible decisions in an effective manner
- Possess self-initiative and able to work independently
2. Maintenance Manager (Based in Ipoh)
The Job:
- Responsible for planning, directing and co-ordinating projects related to plant machinery, equipment and facilities
- Provide technical guidance in implementing and installing new projects as well as in the control of all manufacturing facilities to enable the plant to maintain its production level & improve the efficiency of the operations
Requirements:
- Professional Degree/Advanced/Higher/ Graduate Diploma/Postgraduate in Electromechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’experience in managing a Maintenance & Facilities Department
- Preferably managers specializing in maintenance/repair (facilities & machinery)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- An analytical disposition, mature, energetic, a self-starter and with integrity
