Logistic Engineer MYR 3300 - 3500 (Selangor - Selangor)
Responsibilities :
BD Process Adherence
- Assess opportunities using the Logistics Enquiry Checklist LEC
- Ensure that that authorization is received prior to submission of opportunities to the customer.
- To ensure that all commercial proposal meet the agreed commercial guidelines
- Ensure compliance with all related CEVA policies and ISO 9002 requirements pertaining to the business unit logistic initiatives
Preparation of Logistics Proposals
- Define and agree the scope and timing of the proposal with the client
- Gather and analyse logistics data
- Apply CEVA’s standard pricing principles to logistics costs base
- Provide the necessary input and support to the proposal and presentation to the client
Proposal Development
- Complete risk assessment questionnaire
- Analyse cost model
- Prepare business proposal and CAPEX submissions
- Liase with Solution Manager on issues relating to proposal development
Working Models
- Technical Solutions Design Models
- o Warehouse space/facility design
- o Process mapping, activity times and resource modelling
- o Transport/Network optimisation
- Cost modelling and contract budget development focusing on the areas of profitability, payback period, internal rates of returns and return on capital employment
Methodologies
- Develop and review improved methodologies for analysing client data
- Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
Provision of Information
- Collate the necessary information for regular reporting requirements to Senior Management Team (SMT) and Asia Pacific Executive Team (APET)
Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering; or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of work experience.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and vendors.
- Working knowledge of IT technical disciplines related to systems architecture, operating systems, programming environments and databases, SCM, WMS and TMS packages.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate, and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy and patience.
- Demonstrated skills in organization group process, problem identification and resolution.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities whilst working without close supervision.
