HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a general point of contact for the overall management, coordination and execution of HR operations for all staff members with a reporting line to the Chief of Human Resources;
- Execute human resources projects, policies and procedures, including providing advice, screening and analysis of requests from managers and staff, taking into account the needs, current policies and practices;
- Handle day-to-day HR operations like recruitment, contracts monitoring, performance evaluation, HR administration, job classification, salary survey and other deliverables;
- Assist in identification and analysis of staff training, development and career support needs, including preparation and coordination of training programmes;
- Assist in advising and counseling staff in respect of rights, responsibilities, code of conduct, work and entitlements and provide advice on HR policies, rules and regulations;
Key Requirements:
- A Malaysian citizen with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Science, Psychology, International Relations or a related field of study;
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible professional working experience in human resources management, preferably in an international environment;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision;
- Ability to establish priorities, work within tight deadlines and handle multiple concurrent activities;
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English;
- Knowledge of a second United Nations official language is an advantage;
- Good team player with strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity andrespect for diversity;
- Proficient in MS Office applications and experience with using PeopleSoft, Oracle or SAP ERP system is advantageous.
