We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following vacancy at our subsidiary company based in Kuala Lumpur:
OPERATIONS SUPERINTENDENT (Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will be primarily responsible for day to day operations ensuring that all vessel records, certifications and documentations (in particular, for deck maintenance / repairs, bunker fuel usage and vessel daily reports) are kept up to-date and in compliance with government legislation and Company policies/procedures. He will also assist in coordinating meetings and related work between the crew, HSE and Operations personnel from time to time.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years shipboard experience with minimum ranking of 2nd Officer onboard cargo vessels.
- Certificate of Competency of 1st or 2nd Class (Unlimited) Marine Deck Officer.
- Proficient English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
